A license to catch cod?

Our great and all-knowing federal government is at it again. Public consultations are going to be held with stakeholders to determine if the should be a licensing system implemented for the recreational cod fishery. So in other words, they have made up their little minds they will do this already, now they have to make it look like they consulted the public.

When is enough going to be enough? How much more crap are we going to have to take before we stand and finally say NO DAMN WAY? I'm telling you all our freedom is being taken from us one little step at a time. What happened to the "Fighting Newfoundlander"? Is he gone, has he been beaten down so much he doesn't have the strength to defend himself? If you beat a dog so much he just lies there and takes it until one day he bites you in the ass! Well I'm in a biting mood.

Back from the brink

Well its been a long time but I'm finally back online. I had some computer problems and being stubborn I had to fix it on my own. Well that didn't happen so I called on some friends for help. I learned some things that a person with few computer skills should not know. I might now know just enough to be dangerous! Look out world here I come....

Weedless Newfoundland

Where did all the weed go? Looks like the cops have really been "cracking" down busting everyone in site. I hope they are so proud. What a great service to society! Well I say, what the hell? I don't smoke up anymore but I don't think this is a good use of time or resources. As I see it they are just creating a bigger problem for the future. People who smoke pot do it for many reasons, same as those drink, those who run in the morning, smoke a cigarette, play a round of golf, pick your reason. For years we have been preached to, its a gateway drug. Well, it wasn't until its been taken off the streets. I wonder how much more alcohol, coke, meth, E, etc. is being consumed as a result. Here is our real current and future problem. Don't forget society is going to have to foot the bill to take care of all the new addicts and alcoholics that are being created.
